The wind sounds much stronger than it really was (iPhones can be so melodramatic, audio-wise).  Still, the waves were starting to kick up and splash onto the Promenade itself (but it was too dark for my iPhone to photograph!

Pre-Frankenstorm perspective on my morning route.  After dinner we took a little scoot over to the Promenade along the Hudson; a rare sight to see it so empty!
